Makerspace

BWA Architecture, in collaboration with Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA) and The Possible Project redesigned 1,500SF of CHA-owned storage space at Washington Elms Housing Development into The Possible Project’s incubator facility; a light industrial workshop, office and entrepreneur space with sustainable design features that supports a STEM curriculum. Makerspace is located in Cambridge’s innovation district of Kendall Square.  Designs for the newly transformed workspace and office included: new pendent lighting; acoustic ceiling tiles; shelving; peg wall for coats and office storage space with ladder access.
