Mattapan Bus/Trolley Station Building

Mattapan Station is an urban multi-modal station and a terminus for MBTA’s Red Line service adjoining Mattapan Square in Boston. It also serves as a hub for several city bus routes and features a metal panel structure which houses a dispatcher’s office, crew quarters, MBTA police sub-station, public restrooms, automatic fare collection, communications rooms and community meeting space. BWA Architecture played a critical sub-consultant role in the design of the station and public presentation to agencies and community groups. BWA’s principal role was that of station building architect.
