BWA Architecture provided significant reconstruction at Uphams Corner Commuter Rail Station. Project included: station design of the platform canopies; passenger waiting areas and accessibility features. Design consideration was given to durability and ease of maintenance for such things as snow removal, gutter cleaning, storage of maintenance equipment and salting supplies, bird deterrence, light bulb and fixture standardization, and railing design which minimized on-site welding and field painting.
