The Woburn Regional Transportation Center is a combined effort by MassPort, the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority, and Massachusetts Highway Department. The building provides a passenger oasis for Massport’s Logan Express bus service, as well as local and regional buses, with an accessible pedestrian bridge connection to the adjacent MBTA commuter rail station. BWA Architecture redesigned a 30% design prepared by others to bring the project within budget and produce a constructable set of documents. The program included ticketing areas, offices and conference rooms, retail spaces, passenger waiting areas, restrooms, storage areas, signage, lighting, interior and exterior finishes.
